What about taking down
linuxaudio.org also?
since SOPA/PIPA is threatening the core infrastructure of linux audio
development (among many other things), it could be argued that
linuxaudio.org should be taken down as well. i'm very much in favour of
that idea.
I don't think that it threatens the "core infrastructure of linux
audio", but I'm in favor of supporting the protest for all the "many
other things" which are IMHO more important.
The issue I see with /shutting down/ lao is ongoing LAC paper submission
(deadline end of this week) and LAC organization in general.
A "compromise" would be to redirect the portal page (drupal) but leave
other services on-line.
Do we create a custom page/article and link to the eff site
https://action.eff.org/o/9042/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=8173
(someone needs to volunteer to do that -- Jeremy?)
..or simply use
https://github.com/SaraJo/SOPA-PIPA-Protest-Page
http://protestsopa.org/ -- straight forward javascript in index.php
I can do that.
