They are more likely to choose what works for them.
Which
for many people OS X works for them out of the box. Linux doesn't even
come close at this point to doing so out of the box for most people.
So lets say I am an audio professional about to upgrade, ignoring
financial things for the moment for various reasons. I have a choice.
I can either go with OS X and get an experience that works out of the
box for what I need it to. Or I can go with Linux and spend hours
learning a new OS and tinkering with the commandline, before I can even
start to work professionally.
For many people there isn't much choice there.
