Hi, sorry but I don't really know how to do this, I don't know even if it is possible, I mean, just enable threadirq option using kernel parameters only.
Maybe some other people can put a light on this for both of us ;-)

Hi, here with:

Grub2
Kernel 2.6.39 with CONFIG_IRQ_FORCED_THREADING=y
i have GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="threadirqs" configured in /etc/default/grub file.
Remember to run update-grub if you modify /etc/default/grub file.

I've been trying to find some docs on how to get the kernel to boot with______________________________**_________________
the threadirqs by default, and not needing to pass that option manually at
boot time (or editing a boot config).
Or, any boot option for that matter..
Anyone care to shed some light on this? :)

Thank you, but this only solves adding the boot parameter for a particular system install.
I would prefer finding out how to add it to a kernel source, alternatively, a kernel package source. How can I build the kernel to have the threadirqs option by default?
