[linux-audio-user] [Alsa-devel] : ICE1712 and synch multiple cards clock

I have set up my PC with 3 Terratec EWS88D cards, based on ICE1712 chip. They offer the chance to be synched one to each other, defining a master one and using an internal connector to send the clock signal. The problem is that using both envy24control or alsa control panel there is no option releated to this feature: does anyone know how to solve the problem? Bye Michele

Hello, Ingo, of Lee, if your listening could you help me with this build error? 2.6.10-rc2-mm1 works fine and is my current kernel, but 2.6.10-rc2-mm1-RT-V0.7.27-11 wont make. I just saw this on Slashdot: Wired: Pro-Level, GPL'd Audio Editing For Linux http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/11/13/0423234&tid=141&tid=185&tid=1 Has anyone ever heard of this? I don't know if it looks up to Ardour's standard. [linux-audio-user] M-Audio USB Omnistudio

Noob question here... Has anyone gotten all four channels to work with one of these guys? ALSA only reports it as a 2x2 device is this a USB definition thing (in hotplug etc...) or a .asound thing?

[linux-audio-user] libsndfile-1.0.11 and SD2 files

Hi all, A new version of libsndfile was released just yesterday. I normally don't announce new versions here, but this release has one new feature which requires a bit of a special mention. With this release, libsndfile now supports the Sound Designer II file format as used by Apple Macintosh audio programs like Protools and Digital Performer. There are a couple of caveats with this format as described here: http://www.mega-nerd.com/libsndfile/FAQ.html#Q013 I now also have a Gnu Arch (like CVS but better) repository and there are some very brief instructions for accessing it here: http://www.mega-nerd.com/libsndfile/development.html I hope to expand that page in the near future. [linux-audio-user] Novation ReMOTE, Speedio & XStation

Hi, I noticed there has been some discussion as to whether novation usb midi and/or audio products will work with linux: http://www.music.columbia.edu/pipermail/linux-audio-user/2003-August/ 005765.html I can tell you that the audio side of all out usb products are usb class compliant, so they should work with the usb audio class drivers. If they don't, please let me know. The MIDI communication is not class compliant. It is a very simple protocol though, and should be easy to implement. If anyone wants information to write one we'd be more than happy to give it. Thanks.
