Hi Mike,
thank you for suggestions, but only what I am searching for is to measure
delay in ms for impulse from two sources.
Most close what I've found is Fon's Jack_Delay which measure sound card
latency for set of tones.

(scroll down the page)
Only difference is I don't want link input and output of sound card, but
play to speaker and capture sound in mic.
And I would probably should just one tone instead of set.
best regards

The Dell 27 inch LED monitors are very good. I saw one listed in this search for US$199:

The Sonoj Convention is an event on the 4th and 5th of November 2017 in
Cologne, Germany. Admission is free. You will be able to enjoy
demonstrations, talks and workshops about music production through open
source software. Hands-on tutorials and workflow presentations can be
expected. The Sonoj Convention is a great opportunity to meet
like-minded people, maybe even to have engaging discussions! Every man
and woman is welcome, no matter your musical or technological background.
An event like the Sonoj Convention does not exist yet. While commercial

and How to Make it Interesting" or "Creating a Radio Drama with Ardour
(for Beginners)"). If you can't attend personally but want to support
the convention you can donate to our small fundraising-campaign
("Donation" on the website) and help covering our expenses.
Hi list.
My needs:
Guitarix
Battery powered
2 Hr or better run time
Pocket sized
For live use
Latency <= 128 frames (at say 44.1Khz)
Are there any pre-built units for this sort of thing
out there?
If not, I'd take a small embedded board, hopefully
with enough room for stereo audio jacks, but
I'll take mono. A midi in jack would be nice.
Any one experienced with this?
What is the state of phones these days
for real-time audio? Is Guitarix doable?
What about input and output jacks?
Thanks.
Tim.

I was wondering how to contact him (without gettig a github account) as
I can't find an email address of his.
The suggested reason for this problem was given as "ShowQ is connecting
to Jack ports and does not care if they are audio or MIDI."
In my case ShowQ lists the two jack audio ports (sinks) that my soundcard
provides and makes audio connections to them. No midi connections are
made.
Dear list, does anyone know how I could debug or even fix this by using
jackd tools/commands?
thank you so much! P
Warning: I've been thinking!
There seems to be a trend in recent years for everything to be represented in
various curves. They are very pretty and (possibly) technically more correct,
but is that what the user wants?
Take a simple amplitude envelope for example, showing intensity V time. Now
that is often shown as a logarithmic curve, but the whole idea behind such a
curve was to give our ears a *linear* impression of intensity change, so why do
we now give our ears one impression but our eyes something completely different?

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
Has anyone any experiences or comments on the RME Babyface interface on
Linux, in particular, can I use hdspmixer to control the monitor mix as
I currently am able to with my Multiface II? I am thinking of getting
one soon (in the next few days), so I'll have a second interface to take
with me for laptop/offsite recording.

Hello,
Long time no music out there. While mixing something else I came
across a thread on Linux Musicians about collaboration, with a new
branch of the forum being created: Virtual Music Projects. So I
picked a project almost purely by coincidence and submitted it for
collaboration that is, if anyone is interested. It's also very fine if
no-one is. And so as such, I thought of sharing it here also - any
comments welcomed.
'test-jam112' is an improvisation. The purpose is only to give an
overview of what it could be. It's barely mixed. The context is
smooth, perhaps even ambient, with acoustic guitars and long synths.

Cheers.
