Check this project out: https://github.com/Arkq/bluez-alsa

I have never tried it, but it looks like what you are looking for.

Hi list,

does anyone know if there is support for audio over bluetooth in alsa
without having to use pulseaudio?

Yes, it's possible.

It will require completely manual configuration and won't be flexible
at all. Like hardwired. Frankly, you don't want that.
Thank you! So it is more than just moving a certain .asoundrc in and out
of place?

No, it's not more than "just" that. But you need to know how to formulate the config, as I already wrote.

Do you a ressource that describes this configuration? I won't
try it, I promise! I am just curious.

Have you tried satisfying your curiosity by putting "linux alsa bluetooth" into a search engine?
Or use the search function of various linux forums? I think I once asked the same on archlinux forums.
