Thank you
Are you answering any of Ken's questions, or are you spaming the list?
What software (from the USB stick say) addresses what concerns numbered
below?
I think that Ron was referring to the actual device as a whole rather
than any one specific application...
Well, I took my time and watched the videos but did not see how the answered
any of the questions that were asked. Hence my post.
You should also back off on insulting Ron as he is one of the few people
investing any money in to Linux Audio right now so he is more than
allowed to promote his baby round here.
If I had tried insulting him, I would consider taking your advice. As it is, I
would still like the question answered.
Is the device running non-Free apps? Is it running Free audio apps that have
been customized? What?
I am all for people investing money into Free software and making money on the
same. Cool with me. Announce your cool offerings here too. Fine by me.
But Ken asked some specific questions and the post offered two videos in
answer. I was interested in the answers to those questions and invented my
currently limited time in watching them to see if i could learn the answer. I
didn't but would still like to.
So, were the questions answered but I was just too dense to see the answers?
Or was that an irrelevant post promoting that hardware? If it was, it would
be the irrelevant bit I have a problem with, not the promotion per se.
And I did phrase the original post in the form of a question on purpose. I was
asking if it answered any of the questions because I am interested in the
answers. (Perhaps the spam bit was ill advised anyway but it is a pain to
watch such videos looking for the answers when time is short and find them
more promotional rather than informational in nature.)
If anyone feels I need to be taken to task even more after this further post,
let me know, especially those of you who have known me over the years.

Apologies if I've posted this before, or if it's been answered already,
but I'm looking for a simple looper that:
1) Works with stereo WAV files
2) Is loop-oriented not sample-oriented (i.e. not like Jackbeat)
3) Lets you pre-load the loops and stores them with the file (i.e. this
disqualifies SooperLooper, from last I played with it).
4) Is very CPU-stingy enough to run on a netbook.
5) Is very stable and won't die in the middle of a show (i.e. not
Freewheeling, last I used it)
6) Has MIDI controls for the loops and levels/mixer/muting for them.
7) Can handle up to about 5 simultaneous loops (i.e. not like some of
the DJ-oriented stuff that handles only two at a time).
8) Of course, is JACK-ified and RT capable.
9) Optionally has some way of picking/moving loop points, though that's
not so critical since I can use Rezound for that off-line.
Hmm, after writing all that, it occurred to me that ecasound might be
able to do this, which I'd be perfectly willing to try. But I've had a
rough time with ecasound and ALSA MIDI so I'm a bit concerned about
item (5) above.
