I&#39;ve recently bought a hp laserjet P2055d and it works perfectly right out of the box.<div>My previous printer was also a hp laserjet (anno 1996) and I remember setting up a printer <br>in those days wasn&#39;t quite so easy :-)</div>

I bought an HP Deskjet 6540 many moons ago, on the advice of a Linux Printers web site. I love this machine. In my teaching it gets used a lot, and no, I don&#39;t like buying cartridges, but I haven&#39;t bought a new one for a long while, I just get the old ones refilled at a local center.<br>

It&#39;s not a cheap printer, but I was advised that cheap printers and Linux don&#39;t mix so well.<br>
