I don't think so. The protocol itself is in principle not dependent on a GUI..

I have had a brief look at NSM when it was first announced but since
my workflow seems to be evolving into a GUIlessness I doubt I will
have a personal use for it which doesn't bode well for me to find time
to incorporate it. As always, patches welcome :)
