It works when e.g. running

  $ gedit

but fails when e.g. running

  $ gksudo gedit

;)

I ain't use gtk3-nocsd, but when running GUI apps as root, you need to edit your .bashrc (~/.xsession) in the root directory to make it affect the GUI. Ain't you?
