It was/is that important in my Linux audio world. My #2 production
machine still runs JAD 1.0 and probably will until I'm convinced of the
need to migrate.
AFAIK Jacklab maintainers had some different views on things then most of the people in the Linux Audio World. I don't want to give comments or judgements whether this is/was right or wrong (besides I don't know much about it). But I like to say that I like people who have a different view/vision and I also think itīs good for the Linux Audio world if there are people with different views and let people free to have that. It prevents the community from 'group thinking'.
I'm glad that the great info Jacklab provides about setting up a Linux audio system, is saved and so is the wineasio stuff. I hope some people would go on with packaging for OpenSuse, maintaining RT kernel, WIKI, wineasio etc.
Thanks for your work Michael.
