Reading the recent ipad/android thread made me think, is there any
chance JACK will run with low latency on the rasberry pi?

it would really open doors... given it's size (and cost) one could make
some interesting portable headless systems

Much more intresting IMO: it suddenly has a touch of flexibility with the interface, and can actually process stuff. They run @ 700 MHz with 256 ram which is substantial enough to do fun things... :)

Perhaps also check out the (much more expensive) Fit-PC: http://www.fit-pc.com/web/
It provides a 2.0G atom processor, with 2 gigs of ram.. that's much more powerful, also its just x86, so no nasty ARM recompilation of the stuff you want & love :D
