You can just do

 jconv  path_to_config_file

and use the /cd command in the config file to
point to the dir where you store the IRs.
It's documented in almost all examples.

Since yesterday a new version of jconv also
allows to give sensible names to its ports,
and to connect them. Will be tested today
in real life, and if all OK released tonight.

The normal way to use this is

- put all IR and config files in a system dir,
 e.g. /usr/share/jconv

- copy the config file you need to your
 session directory, and modify as
 required.
