i spent many hours trying MPD's out and all i came up with that i liked ....

Sonata.(seems easy and quite stable.)
Emphasis (i like very much but very buggy)

alas.... My favorite which i use on my girlfriends MacBook.
Theremin.

let me know if you find somthing else that is comparable. quite honestly i just use mplayer and ssh, can't be bothered with all the fuss these days.

I've just been looking at MPD and it leads me to another question.
There seem to be 2 million mpd frontends. Can anyone recommend a good
gtk/qt one?
