LADSPA plugins at http://www.quitte.de/dsp
I am afraid that most mainstream CPUs don't have
enough computing power to
produce properly modeled amps.
I'm not sure thats right. Some of the hardware modelling boxes have pretty
low-powered DSPs in them, and you can buy amp modelling plugins for OSX
and windows.
