Hi, everyone. I'm here to get some
troubleshooting from you.
I installed ffado and jack on Archlinux, but I can't get it
working properly.
About my system:
- Thinkpad x201i(Intel i3-380m and 8G memory)
- Echo Audiofire2 (connected via expresscard)
- Archlinux 64bit
- 2.6.39 kernel (BFS patched)
- installed libffado 2.0.1-3 (svn version from aur) and jack
1.9.5-1
- configured to the advice from the script
realtimeconfigquickscan(except the realtime kernel and
1000hz clock part)
- running rtirq daemon. configured as below....
RTIRQ_NAME_LIST="rtc firewire_ohci ehci_hcd:usb1
ehci_hcd:usb2 i8042"
RTIRQ_NON_THREADED="rtc"
Symtoms:
- ffado and jack work for some time(about 30 seconds?) then
freeze.
detailed process...
Arch starts
turn qjackctl on
start other audio apps (tested with hydrogen and qsynth)
Seems working well
After some time, all sounds stop and transport doesn't roll
When I close other apps and press stop button on qjackctl,
it displays 'stopping...' and nothing more. here's jacks
messages after the stop button pressed.
00:45:53.378 JACK is
stopping...

... and no more. it just holds here.
- But ffado and jack work just
nicely not freezing in extremely rare cases (with no xruns)
I wanted to check messages from ffado too, but I don't know
how.
Can anyone give me a likely solution to this problem? Or any
more information needed?
Thanks in advance!
