One of my favourite books on harmony is available online at
http://www.questia.com: Persichettis's "Twentieth Century Harmony".

My university theory teacher helped write that!  He was Persichetti's student many years ago.  I never checked out the book, as I never got into 20th Century harmony, but if you say it's good I'll have to check it out.

(In case you're not familiar with questia.com, its a large online
library, where titles are available page by page as frames with text
in your web-browser, together with facilities for setting up private
bookshelfs with titles you are reading, bookmarks in the books you are
reading, searches etc.)
