KXStudio allowes to change default alsa "bridge" - either PA (as used at most)
or jack (jack plugin).

I'd like to attempt some video editing (tall order, I know) but this audio
issue is killing it.
I'm assuming that after I kill JACK, I can restart it with
'pulse-jack' and
all should be well, no?
Also, does avidemux work with JACK?

Mike.
Is this still a relatively involved process? The links provided above seem
to indicate that but they also seem somewhat old.
I'm not above configuring things but I can think of better ways to spend my
time.

currently is specific for kxstudio.

I guess the problem is that I'm not exactly clear as to how to do this:
KXStudio allowes to change default alsa "bridge" - either PA (as used at
most) or jack (jack plugin).
I've used linux for well over 3 years now but I have to admit absolute
noob-status when it comes to linux audio (ok...maybe not "absolute"
noob-status but I'm still getting used to the fact that I can actually do
audio/vidoe stuff in linux. In other words: mind still blown). So in
regards to this statement:

I'm assuming that to make kdenlive work (which needs to use alsa), I can
configure jack2 using this utility, correct?
So what I need to know is: Where is this utility and what's the
configuration I need to use so that I can get working audio out of kdenlive.
