I'm happy to announce the release of LiSP (Linux Show Player)!
"LiSP (Linux Show Player)" is a sound player specifically designed for
stage productions.
The goal of the project is to provide a stable and complete playback
software for musical plays, theatre shows and similar.
Features:
- Button matrix user interface, suited for touchscreens;
- Multiple tracks playback;
- Sound FX: gain, equalization, pitch shift, speed control and
compression applied in real time on each track
- Peak and ReplayGainnormalization
- Remote control over IP of slave/backup PC;
"LiSP (Linux Show Player)" is developed in Python and based on GStreamer
and PyQt.

Looks quite interesting.
However, there is a name problem, as lisp is a programming
language/interpreter. Quite a famous one, indeed. I opened this message even
expecting that this was a lisp program.

au contraire, non geeks tend to use Windows. :) Geeks flock to Linux.
Also, whether capital letters are used doesn't affect things (no capital
letters in package names, for example.)
Although, lisp (the programming language.) is called clisp (from common
lisp), at least on Wheezy:
common-lisp-controller - Common Lisp source and compiler manager
clisp - GNU CLISP, a Common Lisp implementation

OK. That's great. I think the name is perfect. The subject of the thread
