I would say to upgrade your kernel.  The -mm kernels are unstable.  And
no one is interested in bug reports for anything but the current one.

Now that the RT preempt patch is based on the mainline kernel you can
just get 2.6.11-rc4 and apply Ingo's latest patch (see LKML archives).
