That's a great read and I appreciate the link but it's
not what I am after. I do understand where the guy is
coming from and for 5.1 DVD 24/48 production I would
totally agree. I hope to get there one day. In the
mean time I am after simple and specific techiques to
maximise saturation of lo-fi ogg/mp3 streams with the
relativily simple tools everyone has access to on linux
right now today. As close as in the simplest easy way.

This is similar to the reverb thread a little while ago.
Where is that magic button to kick in a preset that just
does the job?... I know, it doesn't exist, but how can I
get a close facsimile using, say, audacity? (rezound does
not work for me and anything non-gui is a lost cause).

If anyone can emulate the wav in that image and have it
play back without clipping then however they managed to
do that (without outboard equipment) then I'd really
appreciate the howto. The rub is it can be done on a Mac.
