[linux-audio-user] NO line in signal

well after some messing about i noticed that alsamixergui and gnomes 
volume control etc all seemed to "echo" each others changes.
I didnt actually fiddle with alsamixer but noticed on a number of 
occasions that what i changed elsewhere was certainly reflected by 
aslamixer. So while i cant say 100% Im pretty sure its not that one of 
them works and the others dont.
