Hello Petr,

I think, we both are the only ones, who use this card... and try to configure
that card.

Further, I'm not sure, if the card is full supported from alsa. maybe we both
can figure that out. My expierence is that playing is fine on the terratec.
First, you should try aplay -I wavefile, to specify, if it is possible to
select one channel.

My insight into the mixer controls are, that there are 8 mono channels. (H/W 0
- 7 ) and not 4 stereo channels . this can seen with
soundroom at funnjoy:~$ amixer scontrols
Simple mixer control 'Master',0
Simple mixer control 'PCM',0
Simple mixer control 'Front',0
Simple mixer control 'Center',0
Simple mixer control 'LFE',0
Simple mixer control 'Side',0
Simple mixer control 'IEC958',0
Simple mixer control 'IEC958 Output',0
Simple mixer control 'IEC958',1
Simple mixer control 'ADC Oversampling',0
Simple mixer control 'DAC Deemphasis',0
Simple mixer control 'H/W',0
Simple mixer control 'H/W',1
Simple mixer control 'H/W',2
Simple mixer control 'H/W',3
Simple mixer control 'H/W',4
Simple mixer control 'H/W',5
Simple mixer control 'H/W',6
Simple mixer control 'H/W',7
Simple mixer control 'Multi Track Internal Clock',0
Simple mixer control 'Multi Track Peak',0
Simple mixer control 'Multi Track Rate Locking',0
Simple mixer control 'Multi Track Rate Reset',0
Simple mixer control 'Rear',0

and this will be supported from the jack_lsp command

why dont you use jack. this is more easy and you can connect it by hand.

sorry, for replying my answer again. is recording possible for you.
and do you know, whatfor this item thing after each mixer control are.

Simple mixer control 'H/W',5
  Capabilities: enum
  Items: 'PCM Out' 'H/W In 0' 'H/W In 1' 'IEC958 In L' 'IEC958 In R'
  Item0: 'PCM Out'
