Why do you have to have a percussion track?  Leave it out if you like,  
I do.  I prefer ballads and melodies.  I'm not a dancer.  So 
percussion has no appeal for me.

Focus on where your natural talents and interests lie and leave the 
rest to someone else.  That's what corraborations are for!
