[LAU] Recording Beethoven's "Heroic"

First of all, thanks Giorgio for posting the pics (I guess for an audio 
engineer revealing his recording set-up is really 'Open Source' like for 
a developer revealing his code ;)

Of course it's hard to judge from the pics only, but I do find some 
Beethoven recording sometimes *too* reverberated...
I guess also number of performers (which from the pics seems relatively 
small) can also influence the choice?
