all right - for that part changing the name helps, but now i get this
gettext error, even when changing the po/Makefile.in.in and entering
0.18.1 which is the version of gettext on my system:

Making all in po
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/nowhiskey/Desktop/src/gmorgan_0.40/po'
*** error: gettext infrastructure mismatch: using a Makefile.in.in from
gettext version 0.18.1 but the autoconf macros are from gettext version
@GETTEXT_MACRO_VERSION@
make[1]: *** [check-macro-version] Fehler 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/nowhiskey/Desktop/src/gmorgan_0.40/po'
make: *** [all-recursive] Fehler 1

cheers,
doc
