Yeah with correct values should be invisible to most people under most 
circumstances. Same as some programs/effects wont allow instant value 
changes even if that is what you have programmed but put a few 
(dozen/hundred?) samples ramp to try and prevent glitching sounds. 
Values need to be carefully chosen though.
