In the same vein you claim to be able to hear the difference between a  
properly encoded MP3 and the original WAV but refuse to do an ABX test  
to see if you really can tell them apart.

If your ears are so golden you can hear the linux dithering noise you  
should be able to ace an ABX test with ease.
Take an undithered file, dither it in linux and in some professional  
gear and see if you really can ABX them.
