Jack doesn't write logs unless you redirect the output.

jackd [your_options] >> /your/path/jackd.log

QjackCtl > Setup > Options > Logging seems not to work

You still didn't answer my question how you start jackd and what
distro/release you are using.

Assumed you start jackd by QjackCtl, then

Setup > Misc > [ ] Enable D-Bus Interface
