I strongly believe that we have needed an official group with the aims
of the consortium for some time now. I'm interested that you are so
motivated to get the url changed.

I just updated my links for the LAU guide webring and changed the link
for "promoting Linux audio" to "Commercial Linux audio". It made me
consider why you want the url to be changed and I now strongly believe
that it is in the best interests of commercial Linux audio that we
retain that url.

It makes sense to me that if we are going to pool our resources to
promote Linux audio we should also use the most obvious url in the
world. Currently all the lists and websites you have mentioned that
could be hosted by this url are well linked and established. There is no
point in tearing all that hard work, time and effort down when we should
be building it up by taking it to the next level. IMO the next level for
Linux audio is commercial representation.

I am biased because I have financial interests in seeing commercial
Linux audio succeed. However I have *never* heard from any of the
developers that a financially successful Linux audio company will be a
bad thing for our community.

Apparently upon the beginning of the barrage, the donkey broke
discipline and panicked, toppling the cart. At that point, the rockets
disconnected from the timer, leaving them strewn around the street.
Tethered to the now toppled cart, the donkey was unable to escape before
the arrival of U.S. troops.
