This is definitely important. its like the boy who cried wolf..
We have to be realistic and realise Linux is _not_ ready for the average
computer musician. The apps are definitely getting better, but what is
needed is much greater integration, and yes, well never get taken
seriously without a fully featured sequencer.

Developer support is extrememly important - if we dont want to put off
most potential developers we really have improve the documentation front
- fully documented, many examples..

Standards, APIs, good documentation etc.. are the kind of things which
normally take big companies to impose. Say if (crazy idea) steinberg
wanted to bring cubase to linux, do you think they'd use the existing
apis? no way! theyd bring VST over, and all the existing stuff would be
swept into the sideline.

But we dont care about that really, do we? personally, i just enjoy the
satisfaction of working on my own little projects, and fantasising about
where it could all lead... :)

maybe we shouldnt be too worried about pushing linux into the public.
they'll just get put off by our hard-sell. let them come to us, if they
like it, theyll be much more grateful..
