There is *no* relation at all between a demo and
actual user experience. A demo is a prepared
show and in showbizz everything is OK as long
as the show goes on. I've done demos that were
completely fake (not audio, CAD software).

The lack of correlation can work in both
ways: I know at least one very usable and
major Linux audio app that crashed every
five minutes when demoed at one of the
first LACs :-)
