Yeah, after I sent that email I thought about the fact that MusE
probably starts the synths in-process and I can see drawbacks to that
approach in certain situations.  I do like the fact that RG handles
evrerything as generic MIDI.  The thing I don't like about it is that
it forces me to do extra work outside of Rosegarden to get things
going.
