exactly like that, except

2.5) edit /etc/isapnp.conf

4.5) realize I got something wrong and repeat from 2.5 ;)

It's been a loooong time since I've done this, so I'm afraid
I do not remember what my /etc/isapnp.conf looked like.

I've never used ALSA's isapnp support, but I believe it's
supposed to be simpler than all that. Read the INSTALL file that
comes with ALSA. Search trhough it for "pnp" and/or "irq"
and you'll see what there is.  There's also a file at
alsa-kernel/Documentation/ALSA-Configuration.txt which
contains information on module options for many other cards.
Yours is probably in there. See if your card takes an "irq"
option, and if so, put it in /etc/modules.conf.
