I think there is a difference between modular synths and modular programming
environments, they are not necessarily the same thing. You certainly never had
subpatches on analogue modulars :) Having said that I think it's inevitable
that ssm will be getting this functionality (in fact Joe Jones has been
working on this). I don't want ssm to be seen as a programming environment though.
