but it seems i perhaps have something fundamentally wrong with
my installation...

  #ll /usr/bin/k_vst~.pd_linux;
  -rwxr-xr-x  1 root   root   14 May 15 10:34 /usr/bin/k_vst~.pd_linux*

  #pd -verbose -lib /usr/bin/k_vst~.pd_linux;
  [....]
  tried /usr/bin/k_vst~.pd_linux.pd_linux and failed
  /usr/bin/k_vst~.pd_linux: can't load library

anyone else using thacs rpms?
