With USE="~x86":

       Latest version available: 0.9_beta8

I should probably try the CVS, but it's a bit of work the first time 
round... ;-)

The only stuff I hand-compile from CVS are Pure Data and related 
externals. But this is my "core-app", so I don't mind.
