Bladeenc is much easier but, more importantly, why use an inferior
format.  Ogg Vorbis is much better.  Use oggenc.  If your friends are
running Windoze they can use the latest version of Winamp to
play/convert it.  You don't need a script, one command will do it:

find . -name "*.wav" -print -exec oggenc -q 5 {} \;
