studio racks are easy to make, but the aluminium hardware for a *really* roadworthy rack can be quite expensive. Although i imagine you wouldnt go as far as to make it a double layer 'suspended' type (with eg foam). for weight reasons as well as price and effort, consider buying a second hand plastic rack case. regards -- Tim Orford
