these plugins seem to be Sept-03 and 2002 respectively, so that is still consistant
with the theory, i think...

i'd rather not publically recomend non-Free software, but i spose you are familiar

dunno, but as all the devs are busy on other Linux-native projects, i dont
spose they want to provide fixes for plugins that dont meet the Vst spec
(if indeed that is the case).
