Okay, there are different meanings of a pro:

A) The professional linux-user. For him its no problem to set (or
unset) a variable in .profile/.bashrc/.<etc>

B) The professional musician. Probably switching from Windows or Mac
to Linux. You can explain the dependencies of jack/etc to him and he
will understand it and make use of it. But if it comes to
non-gui-tools and commandline-interfaces and ENV-variables he switches
right back to his old proprietary system...

C) There are certainly many more pro's, but these are the ones
on-topic for LA[DU]...

Wenn man mit Raubkopien Bands wie Brosis oder Britney Spears wirklich
