I don't think JACK's "ASIO mode" did what you think it did.  It was just
a different method of buffer handling.

JACK is to Linux what ASIO is to Windows.  JACK already provides the
lowest latency/highest quality that the hardware can deliver.

David:  What problem are you trying to solve?
