What can I say? It buids easily on the two platforms I have here -
Gentoo and FC2. The developers are, in my experience, very nice guys
who provide information and fixes quickly to those who take the time
to join their mailing lists and make requests of them. If it's not
building on your or anyone elses system then all can suggest is that
you do the normal thing - join, ask, work & wait.

Sorry for having created some kind of problem here. Andrew asked. I
responded. Next time I guess I stay quiet.
