yeah i get the distortion if i run the script and also if i don't,
from further testing i have realised this particular script(ie Daniel
Ritz's) doesn't do anything.

i have tried disabling the onboard card but its the same issue(ie
distortion etc). i have no idea how to change the irqs. some help on
this could be helpful i suppose, although windows has the irq assigned
the same a linux and it works perfect, but it could be worth a try as
i am willing to try anything at this stage.

i think it is more like a conversion distortion, yeah like those
aliens guys, its kinda choppy and gritty.
