For me, it's always the room that I work on first, or at least
one listening position in a room.  In an attempt to stay on
topic for the forum, I'll suggest that folks have a look at
DRC http://drc-fir.sourceforge.net/ for ways to use Linux to
measure and correct a room.  The documentation is *outstanding*
if one wants to learn a lot of theory behind this, and of course,
there's the source.
