Hi!
  I would report it to the alsa-guys and Jaroslav in particular. You could 
tell him, that you made it run with 2.6.18, because I already told him it ran 
upto 2.6.16.2 and stopped with 2.6.20.
  Please do so... I've told the alsa-user list, that it didn't work for quite 
a while and noone from the developers answered.
