Really a feature? :-) Well a feature, that doesn't work exactly. For sometimes 
(well mostly) I need the extra gain.
  I followed the discussion on alsa-devel a bit. It looks a bit snobby to me. 
:-) They all seem to really good equipment and expect anyone else to have it 
as well. :-)
