[LAU] How well do thinkpad notebooks work for audio?

I have been using thinkpads since 1999. Back then I bought a i1410
and it is still working! I could not get it to work with audio
reliably back then, it seems that the audio card (some Yamaha varian)
was not supporting full duplex in 44.1 kHz (but in 2205 it did, IIRC).
 The computer seems unbreakable.

Anyways, for the past 4 or so years I have been running on a R60e (in
the meantime I broke some T series thinkpad but it was my fault). I
will list the R60e specs below. I use it mostly for live performance.
