Hi there,
I'd like to build a new DAW in the next 2 weeks. Budget is tight
and so I have chosen the following components to buy:

CPU:
• AMD Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition (K10 - Kuma core), 2x 2.70GHz, boxed
AD775ZWCGHBOX - €68,21

Cooler:
• Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro PWM - €16,65
• http://www.arctic-cooling.com/cpu2.php?idx=80&data=1&disc=

Mainboard:
• Asrock AOD790GX/128M AMD790GX - €84,03
• http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=AOD790GX/128M

Memory:
• 2x2048MB Kit OCZ Platinum XTC 1066MHz CL5 - €44,87
•
http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_8500_platinum_sli_ready_edition

Power Supply:
• RASURBO GaminX & Power GAP565 - 550 Watt - €43,95
• http://www.rasurbo.de/netzteil_gap565.html

Any thoughts on this? What I'd like to know the most is, how does the AMD790GX
perform under Linux? Is it fully supported (chipset, graphics [very important],
Which kernel would I need at least?

Does anybody here use an AMD790GX board? Are you happy with it? Any known problems?

I'd be really grateful for any thoughts, experience, info, whatever.

Greets,

Raphael ;)
