[LAU] Denemo notation and Midi

Ok, so Midi in Denemo will be improved in the next months? There are 
some people on the lilypond user mailinglist which also wants to improve 
MIDI output of Lilypond. They even started a special mailinglist about 
it and they are searching for contributors.

So, why not improve Lilypond MIDI output instead of improving midi 
output in all the different gui apps?
Please help improve Lilypond MIDI output in plain lilypond and all gui 
apps will benefit from it.
Or do I miss something?
